Office Tour

Despite all of the more interesting stuff I'm posting about, I did want to show that I am actually doing some work over here. Though, I admit that I could and should be investing some more hours in the office. Dan and I have made our travel plans for the middle-end of August, so from now until then I will be working hard. Now that the novelty of living in another county has worn off and we've seen pretty much all there is to see in Bergen, it's time. It has been a little hard so far because almost everyone here takes the month of July off, so the building is a little empty at the moment.   I work with some great people in Wisconsin who push me and motivate me, so being here without any accountability has been tough or at least tough on my productivity. This post is my personal declaration to get down to business.

I love that the University of Bergen has an owl as their mascot.

This is my office while I'm here. There is one other desk besides mine that looks to be inhabited, but I have not seen the other person since I've been here. I pretty much always have this big office to myself.

A little sitting area. You know, for all my guests. Also notice the three windows. Three!! This is a major upgrade from my basement office in Wisconsin.

My desk. I had been using my laptop for a few weeks, which was a little hard to work with coming from a 2-monitor display. One day a computer with a large monitor appeared, so I've been hooking it up to my laptop for a bigger screen. I have no idea whose it is, but I'm using it until someone claims it (the European keyboard has definitely been an adjustment).

The view out the window is of the Catholic church that Dan and I have been going to.

Little kitchen down the hall.

Conference room

Lounge area

The best part is that the building has this awesome deck! I haven't used it, since it is almost always wet from the rain, but I wish we had one of these back home.
