Paris Day 2

Today we spent most of the day at the Louvre. There is no way you can see it all in one day, so we just made a list of our favorites and only went to some of the collections. I also looked up tips ahead of time, because it can be so crowded in the summer. It was definitely packed in most of the places we went.

I won't explain each picture, partly because I have no energy left, but mostly because all the information is online of course :)

The first piece we saw was the painting of Jesus Healing a Deaf and Dumb Man. This passage from the Bible is very special to Dan. He explains its significance on his blog

We then went to the Chapel of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, where Mary appeared to St. Catherine.

Finally, we finished off the day with dinner by the Sacre Coeur and watching the Eiffel Tower sparkle at midnight. This was a much needed relaxing evening, sitting for an hour with a fantastic view of the Tower.

  1. Amazing and beautiful! Makes me want to draw again! ha ha! I love those old paintings of the madonna and child. I have a favorite at the Philbrook in Tulsa.
