Paris Day 3

Yesterday was our last full day in Paris, because today we head to Rome. We spent most of the day at Versailles. It was SO busy, much more so than the Louvre. We had to practically push our way through  each room and it felt like a sauna the whole time. It was of course huge and insanely over-the-top, but I guess I was expecting more. Maybe I built it up in my mind. I was also expecting more furniture for some reason. Without furniture, each room kinda looks the same. Maybe we were just too hot and tired at this point to really appreciate the magnitude, but I think I enjoyed Napoleon's apartments at the Louvre much more. The best parts were all the different gardens. It was a beautiful day and they were impeccably manicured, though we wished the fountains were running. Marie Antoinette's village was adorable and probably my favorite part.

We finished off the day with crêpes and the Eiffel Tower again up close.

Let's take a minute and talk about crêpes. I never understood them. Are they pancakes? Are they tortillas? I never got it. Until Paris. They are delicious! I think I've had a Nutella-banana crêpe every day since arrival. The best.
